The main sealing lip adopts modified PTFE material, with fillers such as carbon fiber, bronze or glass fiber optional to enhance wear resistance and dimensional stability. Metal shell is normally carbon steel, available with zinc-plated anti-rust treatment. Garter spring uses stainless steel for corrosion resistance. The auxiliary static-seal backing rubber commonly chooses NBR or FKM according to temperature and medium. Modified PTFE greatly improves chemical compatibility, suitable for oil, solvent and corrosive fluid working conditions.
